My Wife has been a td1 for over 60 years being well controlled on a tandem pump. About 10 years ago she supplemented her disease with glp-1 drugs starting with Victoza, Jardiance, Ozempic and Mounjaro a year and a half ago. Medicare has now denied coverage as the FDA has only approved its use for type 2. Appeals have been denied three times even with a letter of medical necessity from doctor. Blood sugars are way up after stopping. Any ideas how to fight this?

It’s one thing if your fight is with your insurance company; but since Medicare sets the standard and guidelines that’s a whole different battle. I wish you all the best.
