Reduced effectiveness of insulin

These are wonderful tid-bits Pam @pamcklein, some pointers others, me included, overlooked - especially keeping ice-packs separated from insulin. When I leave my pump in the beach cooler, sometimes for hours, I usually slide it into an outside zipper pocket where it will be kept at air temp rather than letting the insulin get COLD where it becomes less effective when I want to resume pumping.
Erin @PDX2022 when I said I’ve never had insulin “spoil”, I was referring to “modern day” formulations - not those extracted from live animals that Pam and I both used. The analog insulin formulations are very stable at just about all temperatures.
