Hi all! Everytime I go on vacation I have delayed stomach emptying mainly at dinner time. I’ve done some research and have learned that it is quite common for T1Ds to get “vacation induced gastroparesis” or “acute gastroparesis” when we go on vacation.
Anyone suffer from this? How have you worked around this?
Hello @birdfran09 I have never considered “vacation induced gastroparesis” but I have some symptoms. I travel for work and I get “work induced stress travel” which I’ve had for 20 years. In my case it has never been overly painful or caused anything other than inconvenience. I do better when I set aside time to relax and make sure I’m hydrated. Exercise helps. Alcohol makes it worse so I’m a little more careful as I get older. Good luck I hope you find some relief!
