My name is Taylor, and I am a senior in high school conducting an AP Research project examining how the Omnipod 5 influences parents’ confidence and anxiety in their type 1 diabetic child’s participation in sports. I wanted to post about this on here because I am really struggling to find participants to fill out a quick survey, and I thought I could find some parents on here who are willing to help. I have reached out to many different organizations (CHOA, Camp Kudzu, Children with Diabetes, and more), but no one has been able to work with me due to company policies and age restrictions, so I would really appreciate your participation!
I am looking for parents with K-12 type 1 diabetic children who use the Omnipod 5 and participate in any sport. The survey is completely anonymous and only takes a few minutes to complete.
As a type 1 diabetic myself who was diagnosed at 3 years old and has experienced diabetes with and without technology throughout years of playing sports, this research is very important to me, and your participation would make a big difference in helping me - and others in the diabetes research community - better understand how technology affects parental experiences.
