I’ll keep this in mind when I switch to Tandem. I currently use Medtronic and have never had an occlusion that my pump notified me of. I’ve run high before for no apparent reason after starting in new site and just assumed it was a bad site, but the pump has never notified me it was blocked. This is one thing that I’ve read about that concerns me with Tandem.
I’ve had my tandem for 2 years and have only had a handful of occlusion alarms. Only once was insulin delivery actually obstructed and my BG went high. All of the other times I think it was a case of pinched tubing or something.
