Putting my tech support hat on 1. What model phone? 2. What version of Android? 3. You said your pump is running 7.10.2, what version of the tandem app is installed on your phone?
Joe listed two settings, did you have to change either of them? John suggested looking to the list of apps by battery usage. Where does the Tandem app rank on the list? What apps are in the top 5?
Is your phone with you all day? In a pocket or a bag or is it in front of you more often than not? If you keep it in a pocket do you switch pockets to the side you pump is on?
I’ll go through this exercise, but the Tandem tech support folks looked into this in the first 10 to 15 phone calls I had with them plus emails over the past 2 years. By the way, NO other apps have this problem.
