Libre 3 Plus showing Wide Swings

Greetings All & Happy New Year,
I’m aware of the false low readings with Libre, and the expected difference between finger pricks and CGM values, I believe this is different.

This morning I had a CGM of 100, 20 minutes later 220, all I did was doing was watching TV. I checked with a finger prick and it was 90. I ate breakfast 200 calories Cherrios and milk. 30 minutes later I got a “Hi”from Libre, blood was 146. 2 hours later I got a “Low” alert from the Libre, finger prick was 135. So, all day I had huge swings from the Libre. Blood tests showed normal changes.

10 minutes ago Libre 155, blood 76.
Has anyone else had these swings from Libre?

Luckily I had an extra sensor so I started it.

TIA,

Dave

Dave @Dave52 , it certainly sounds as if you had a significantly defective sensor. And really good that you were aware of what your body was telling you - you did well in managing your diabetes effectively, the “old fashioned way” and not assuming that the sensor is a plug-n-play.

If you haven’t done so yet, this should be reported to Abbott along with your excellent documentation.
