Libre 3 Plus Signal Loss

Just an FYI, in case it helps someone else

My Android phone had a signal loss error for my Libre 3 plus.

I waited a few minutes, still nothing. Turned Bluetooth off & back on. Rebooted the phone no change. I actually selected “start a new sensor”, put the phone next to the existing sensor and got the nessage, I was already using the sensor. I clicked okay and the readings were back.

Hey Dave, I was hoping you’d post, I had a question for you. Completely unrelated to signal loss have you tried the new Libre by Abbott app? I’m wondering if there is anything different about it other than it works with most of their current lineup of libre sensors instead of requiring a different app for each one. Abbott has been unable to communicate why they now have two apps for each sensor.

Hi Chris,?I had a couple paragraphs written. I did a search on it and couldn’t find anything.

Then I went back reworded the search text and got some info.

The reviews aren’t anything to get excited about and based on my previous experience since the Libre 14-day here in the US, I’m not likely to try anything new for a while.

I’m happy with the3 plus sensor and the Android app.

Oh Boy, a long delay, but a reply to your original question.

Yes the short version is, I had a sensor (or app) failure and bad Humalog at the same time. The app was telling me my BG was “HI”, I’m taking Humalog like crazy and it was not dropping. I was out of test strips,. I finally went to the store bought some and my BG was 128.
I put a new sensor on and 60 mins later it was 100. I realized that Humalog pen and cooler had been in my suitcase earlier in the week. I guess I didn’t pay attention to the pen & cooler temp.
Abbott Customer Support suggested I try the new app., it’s a clunker for sure. I have 4 more days on this sensor, then I’m going back to the original Libre 3 sensor app.
