well, that looks great to me Dee!
Sweet - congratulations!!
Thank you! Now to keep it going.
Just an update. Things are going well. I’m now getting 100% TIR quite a bit. It’s surreal. I’m staying 80-90 quite a bit, except after meals. Had to lower alert to 70. Only one time to 69, but no other lows. I’m ecstatic. Moving forward I can foresee an a1c in 5 range. This is foreign for me. And, I’ve been t1 for over 23 years.
100% TIR - that’s amazing - Huge congratulations!!!
Great work @HighHopes
Lookin’ good Dee @HighHopes - something to celebrate. Just a side question, do you find your MiniMed 780G easy to work with your lifestyle? That was the last new pump on my list before I decided to continue with a new t-Slim.
@Dennis , I guess it works with my lifestyle. My entire career with diabetes (hahah) I have struggled. I find keeping my numbers in a good range very difficult. I will spike for emotional reasons or no reason at all. I’ll get low on a dose that normally works fine….so, anything that helps me, I’ll accommodate it. A lack of sleep has been my biggest issue with a pump and cgm. There always seems to be something. But, 780 has given me a few nights of peace. So, reducing my alert number to 70 should allow me to get rest. If it can keep my TIR so well, I’ll gladly live with it. I work out with it in Temp Target. That works great. I don’t swim laps right now due to the pump…maybe later. I’m proud of it, so I have no issue with anyone seeing me wear it. I recently started dating again and it hasn’t been a problem….the only downsides are the costs, alerts during sleep, and traveling with backup supplies. And, occasionally fighting lows when drinking alcohol, but that’s pretty much cleared up. It’s given me hope for my future. I really think this is going be the best thing for me moving forward. Maybe, another pump and cgm could have worked, but I already had years of experience with Medtronic 670. It seemed like a shame to not use it. 780 is much better. Even with its issues, it’s still a good product, to me.
