I have several questions about the Mobi as I need to decide if I should get one now as my renewal is up. Currently I am using between 43 and 54 units of insulin a day.

  1. Does the Mobi also send out alarms or alerts? Or just the phone app?

  2. Will charging the mobi for 10/15 minutes every day suffice?

  3. If I lose my phone, can I easily put the app on another phone quickly or do I need another phone already set up with the app?

  4. Does the quick bolus only do one unit per insulin per press? Or can it be programmed to 1.5 units, for example?

  5. Can you set your Mobi to give no insulin for 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes like you can with the x2-slim?

  6. If I lose my phone, can I continue to do quick boluses until I get the new phone set up?

  7. Tubeless Mobi or Tubi? When is it coming out?

My concerns are that I will miss having the info on the pump and that I need to have the phone with me all the time.

It has a light buzzer and beeper in the pump for alarms, alerts, warnings

Yes

Take a picture of the pump serial number. Setting up on a compatible phone is pretty quick.

Does the quick bolus only do one unit per insulin per press? Or can it be programmed to 1.5 units, for example?

Programmable. But not perfect. Your choices are 0.5,1,2, and 5. Mine is set for 2 units

Can you set your Mobi to give no insulin for 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes like you can with the x2-slim?

Yes. Temp rates can extend from 1 minute to 72 hours adjustable in minutes.

If I lose my phone, can I continue to do quick boluses until I get the new phone set up?

Yes

Tubeless Mobi or Tubi? When is it coming out?

I don’t know.

You know, if you love the local control panel you can always get another x2

The mobi cartridge is 185 units (advertised as 200) it does run below zero though and just says “Low”.

Tandem said this year but they still haven’t gotten FDA approval

Thank you so much for the information. The phone issue seems to not be an issue now after reviewing your comments. Now I need to decide if a 185 reservoir will be adequate in the long run. Thank you so much for your help.
