I have a ypsopump and i can’t get it pairing with camaps fx. Is not generating the pairing code
Hi @Hunter2002 welcome to Breakthrough T1D. That is a relatively new system, so I hope you can contact the manufacturer and get some help. Good luck
@Hunter2002 I’m always up for learning new things so I read the manual. The normal causes of the pump not showing a pairing code are 1. Bluetooth on the pump is turned off and 2. The pump is already connected to a device via bluetooth. Any chance you just got a new phone? Turn off bluetooth on the old phone then pair the pump with the new phone. If nothing works you can follow the instructions in the “electronic error” section to reboot the pump BUT be prepared to validate and possibly re-enter all your settings.
Once you get it fixed please let us know what resolved the problem. We don’t have the Ypso pumps in the US where many of active forum members are based.
Bluetooth is on.
Never been paird to another phone.
Camaps recognize the plumb, ask for activaiting pairing mode and ar this point starts from the begining. Is not generating pairing code
There are some tips here

Oh that pairing… Sorry you are still stuck in manual mode. I dislike contacting tech support but even I would have reached out rather then spend another night in manual mode.
If you contacted them already and they weren’t helpful what did they say?
I searched the CamAPS FX manual.
To replace or re-link the insulin pump:

step I’d try rebooting the pump. Anywhere else there is no way to know if it is a pump, app or Android problem. All the usual troubleshooting applies, reboot your phone then try unpair and reboot the pump (with all the requisite warnings about knowing your pump settings) then try delete and reinstall the app (with all the requisite warnings about knowing your app settings), then try a friends phone. When CamAPS app talks to the pump the communication is encrypted by certificates that CamAPS has to download every 4 weeks so the internet connection, malware and system date are unlikely but possible problems. And maybe the date and time on the pump.
Nothing is working și far. Someone told me that the pump may have an older software that camaps fx dose not recognize
This may be a longshot but do you use a VPN? If so try turning it off while attempting to pair.
I tried with and without vpn
If that’s the case and you are not able to update the software, will they replace the pump?
I’m not familiar with the Ypsopump - may I ask where you are located? Just curious - apologies if I’m being nosey.
I am from România, Europe. I bought the pump from France
You are the first person I have met from Romania - nice to know you.
Engineers in the forum might (probably would) know more about this but I was curious about compatability of devices between countries and found this advice for people planning to purchase internationally:
First of all, check to see that the specs of your phone are compatible with smartphone standards in the country where you intend to use it.
Ypsomed tech support - perhaps at an upper level - might be able to address that.
Hi @Hunter2002 I don’t think mylife loop is available in Romania, but I don’t know for sure and it’s worth it to see if it is. Medical apps are released when the country drug safety authorities approve it and it may not be approved in Romania. According to mylife the software is in limited release
I used a vpn for a country where is available
Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn’t work. Some vpn are easy to detect and then fail safe by software companies. I suppose that it also rules out customer support so you’re on your own. Mylife loop may also cross check your pump country registry (I am guessing now) but any of these leaks could prevent use.
I had to send the plumb back to the seller.
So sorry things did not work out with your pump. This forum is in the US and I don’t think Ypsomed is available here; but even if it were, in the US individuals cannot sell medical devices. We do have some members in other countries where things may be different, but I suggest you check this link to the breakthrought1d affiliate in the UK, which is closest to you.
I don’t know if they have a forum like this one but they may be able to give you some guidance.
I hope you are able to find what you need.
Moderator note: This is an International Forum
Since you are sending it back I hope that means you’ll get some money back. If you buy another pump try to stick to pumps where the algorithm is running on the pump itself. This means the CGM will connect via bluetooth to the pump also. Examples are are the Tandem TslimX2, Medtronic 770g and Insulet Omnipod 5. Pumps like the Ypsomed and Dana rely on everything going through a phone which isn’t reliable enough unless they are the only thing available.
