I just started my first instinct sensor!. They say you don’t need an overtape, and I’m debating whether I should use one or not. I am thinking of leaving it off for this one and seeing what happens. I figure that if it stays on for the 15 days great, if not I’ll find out how easy it will be to get medtronics to replace an abbot sensor. Anyone try this already?

Why ask Medtronic to replace an Abbott sensor? I believe the responsibility for replacement would be Abbott.
No, I haven’t;t tried the Instinct but I’d like to hear your report on it after you use it for a while. The thing that kept me from buying that wonderful new 780G (?) System a couple of years ago was the only available sensor was another Guardian - and previous Guardians had a not-so-remarkable record.
Thank you! I bought the instinct sensors through medtronics (and insurance.) Apparently they are designed to only work with the minimed system
Mike, everyone is different when it comes to tape. Just try it and see what happens. Some folks need pre dressing tape over tape and more. Some are fine without. Good luck!
